Instructions
Heat oven to 180°c. grease a 23x23 cm or 23x28 cm deep baking dish. mix: combine sugars, butter, eggs, vanilla, buttermilk, syrup, and mashed bananas. add flour, baking powder, soda, salt, and cinnamon. pour batter into the dish and bake 45–55 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. toffee sauce: cook butter and sugar until smooth, stir in cream and vanilla, and cool. assemble: poke holes in the cake, pour sauce on top, and let soak for 1 hour. enjoy!
