Instructions
1. in a bowl add the honey and milk and microwave for about 30 seconds - 1 minute or until warm (not too hot or cold)
2. Add in the yeast, stir and set aside
3. In your mixing bowl add the flour, sugar and salt
4. Pour in the butter and yeast mixture once risen and activated (takes 5-10 min depending)
5. Using your mixer with a kneading head, knead for 5 - 10 minutes until a dough ball forms and stops sticking to the sides of the bowl
6. Grease a large bowl and place in the dough, turn over in the bowl so it’s greased and cover with a damp towel and rise for 1-2 hours (until risen or almost doubled in size)
7. Once the dough has risen punch down dough and place on a counter top and roll out into a rectangle
8. Smear a thin layer of butter over the dough with a spatula (optional), then drizzle on the pistachio creme and spread with a spatula. sprinkle with cinnamon and pistachios
9. Roll up the dough into a cigar and cut with a sharp knife into 8 - 10 slices
10. Line a baking dish and add the cinnamon buns, cover and allow to rise for about 20-30 min until risen
11. Preheat oven to 180°c/356°f while rising, when risen place in cinnamon buns into the oven
12. While baking mix together cream cheese frosting
13. Bake for about 15-25 minutes or until golden then remove from oven
14. Spread the frosting on top once slightly cooled
15. Top with pistachio butter and pistachios and enjoy!
